BIO

Laura Plasencia is an Argentinian-American filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY, with a dynamic career in the film industry.
A graduate of the University of Buenos Aires in Audio-Visual Design, she has directed an award-winning TV show, a feature film, and several short films. She also worked as an Animatic Producer at Mundoloco CGI in Buenos Aires, contributing to the Emmy-winning Mini Beat Power Rockers series, now on HBO Max.
Laura's passion for diverse narratives led her to curate mission-driven film programs at Dartmouth College’s Hopkins Center for the Arts and the White River Indie Film Festival and Traverse City Film Festival spotlighting Latin American filmmakers.
Currently, she is developing a documentary and works as a Sr. Multimedia Designer for a pension fund in New York, crafting impactful visual narratives.
